Dear Bone Coloured Pillowcase:
The other day I decided to wash sheets. I gathered all the sheets from the guest room and my bedroom.
I lovingly filled the soap dispensers with laundry soap and bleach, I set the dial and waited for 38 minutes.
I was already half in the bag, but I stopped everything I was doing when the washer alerted me it was done sloshing around every sheet in the house.
I switched you from washer to dryer- setting the dial for about an hour.
Once the buzz alerted me I grabbed all the stuff and began to make the beds in my house.
I folded back the quilt and reached for the pillow cases, only to discover one is missing.
I retraced my steps, Searched both high and low for the rogue pillowcase.
After combing my whole house with a fine toothed comb I realized it was futile. I made the bed with one white and one Bone coloured pillowcase, admitting defeat.
I just wan't to know why you would leave us? I'm good to you, I almost never get make-up on you, and I always brush my teeth before bed. I don't know why you left but I wish you well in your new life.
Remember that time I bought new feather pillows to stuff into you ? We can go back to that.
I will love you forever Bone coloured pillowcase, you match my curtains so well.
Love
Trish Doyle
